This year’s theme for Easter was “Life Outside the Tomb”. Pastor Brian wanted something that looked like coming out of the darkness – what it would look like to emerge from a tomb. I had a hard time finding an image I really liked to start with (since I’m doing this for church and for free, I always use free images I can find online rather than buying stock photos), so I settled for this one looking up and out of a cave.
But, I really liked the effect of the light shining through so I decided to go with it. However, our projector is really weak, so the team decided it wouldn’t show up very well when we actually used it at the service.
Craig Fletcher (another member of Redemption’s communications team) found the perfect photo, so we combined efforts with his photo and my graphic work on the text and logo. Here’s the final product:
